ABOUT THE ROLE
This Position ist temporary for 1 year with the possibility of extension
YOUR DEPARTMENT:As Deputy Country Director you will be assigned to the Representative office of "humedica e.V." in Ukraine and will be working in Kiev, Ukraine.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:- Develop and implement organisational strategies, structures, and processes across all departments in Ukraine
- Support the Country Director in translating national strategies into operational plans
- Promote a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement
- Lead the digitalization of departments and workflows
- Coordinate across departments and field offices
- Fulfil the role of the Country Director when delegated or in his absence
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements, national legislation, and internal standards
- Represent humedica in coordination forums and with external stakeholders
- Support fundraising and donor engagement efforts

We are also looking for:
YOUR PROFILE:- University degree in a relevant field
- 7+ years of experience in humanitarian/development work, including 3 years in leadership
- Proven skills in organisational development and compliance
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities
- Fluent in German, English, and Ukrainian/Russian
- Knowledge of donor regulations (e.g. UHF, ECHO, GFFO, BMZ)
DESIRABLE:- Experience in conflict settings (e.g. Ukraine)
- Familiarity with humanitarian standards (CHS, Sphere, IASC)
- Technical know-how in Health, MHPSS, Protection, CASH and/or WASH
